Scheduling Your Care
Appointments
Dr. Gleason and Dr. Janky see patients by appointment Monday through Friday 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. in our Grand Island office. Dr. Janky also has satellite offices in Aurora and Ord.
We make every effort to adhere to the appointment schedule as much as possible. Sometimes delays in the schedule may occur due to unexpected illness or emergencies. We appreciate your understanding and patience for any inconvenience that an emergency may cause.
If you are unable to keep your appointment or are going to be late, please call our office as soon as possible. If you are more than 20 minutes late, you may be asked to reschedule your appointment.
Your Visit
Examinations may require anywhere from thirty minutes to an hour.
Always bring your glasses even if they are unsatisfactory or broken. Please bring a list of medications that you are currently taking along with a list of medications you are allergic to.
Complete (dilated) exams may take an hour or more. Please allow a sufficient time for your visit. If dilating drops are used for your examination, you may be temporarily blurry (especially your near vision) and sensitive to light. You may wish to arrange for someone to drive you home.
Emergency Care
If you have an urgent medical problem after hours, please call our office at 308-381-4733. Our answering machine will provide you with our home phone numbers and cell phone numbers.
In a true emergency, it is best to go to the hospital emergency department, where the emergency room physician may begin treatment and call Dr. Gleason or Dr. Janky.
Telephone Calls
The doctors cannot answer every phone call immediately during office hours as they are in with other patients or performing procedures.
The office staff has been trained to answer most questions. If they are unable to do so, they will consult the doctor and relay their answer to you. If the doctor needs to return your call, the call will be made after they have finished seeing patients.
Please remember that many eye diseases often have similar symptoms. For this reason most requests for treatment will require an office visit.

Your medical records are private. No information regarding your condition will be given to your employer, friends or relatives without your permission.
