Michele L. Gleason, M.D.

Michele L. Gleason, M.D., is a native of Boelus, Nebraska. She graduated summa cum laude from Creighton University, where she was on the Dean's list all four semesters and was a Rhode's Scholarship National Finalist. She received her medical degree from Creighton University School of Medicine graduating magna cum laude. She was selected to the very prestigious AOA medical honor society for high academic achievement and leadership and was honored as the graduating senior woman with the highest grade point average in her medical school class.

Dr. Gleason completed her residency training in ophthalmology at the University of Nebraska Medical Center in Omaha where she served as Chief Resident and coauthored several research articles. She is Board Certified in Ophthalmology.

Dr. Gleason is the Past President of the Nebraska Academy of Eye Physicians and Surgeons. She is also a member of the American Academy of Ophthalmology and the American Society of Cataract and Refractive Surgery. She is presently serving on the Medical Advisory Committee for the Grand Island Surgery Center.

Dr. Gleason and her husband, Randy, have three grown children, two of which are married, and one grandchild. They live on a farm near Cairo, Nebraska.

Julie P. Janky, M.D.

Julie P. Janky, M.D., is a native of Grand Island, Nebraska. She attended college at the University of Nebraska-Lincoln, where she was on the Dean's list all semesters. She was accepted early to Medical School after three years of college. She received her Medical Degree and Bachelor of Science degree from the University of Nebraska Medical Center in Omaha.

Dr. Janky completed her residency in Ophthalmology at Henry Ford Hospital in Detroit, Michigan. She served as Chief Resident and was given an Award of Excellence for Outstanding Senior Resident. She became Board Certified in Ophthalmology in 2000.

Dr. Janky is a member of the American Academy of Ophthalmology, American Society of Cataract and Refractive Surgery and the Nebraska Academy of Eye Physicians and Surgeons.

Dr. Janky and her husband, Tom, have two grown sons, Mason and Parker, and live on the family farm in Chapman, Nebraska.
